October 25th wedding in Estes Park? Thoughts?

Hey all! So my fiance and I really wanted to get married this year on a Sunday. I am almost considering Sunday, October 25th at an Estes Venue. However, I am a bit worried about the snow/cold. Can anyone advise on what the weather is likely to be like in Estes Park late October? Will it be freezing? I don’t want to be selfish and make my guests sit through a cold ceremony but I also really don’t feel like pushing this out until next summer. Thanks!

Has anyone here tried to get into management consulting and failed? What was your backup plan?

Hi everyone. So I just went through a cycle of interviews with BCG. I didn’t end up getting in. I’m currently working for a government contractor doing survey based research. My PhD is in social psych. My job is fine but feels sort of pointless and cyclical. I’d really like to be on the business development sort of things or to work in management consulting. I think the industry applications of social science are a bit silly, personally.

It’s confusing to me how when people talk about consulting it’s always MBB. Are those the only companies that do management consulting? Yet they’re insanely competitive? Can I be a management consultant anywhere else? I’m in Denver by the way.
