Is this itinerary (6 nights) a good deal and idea for my parents (60s)?

I just got back home from a cruise, and my parents have been telling me how much they want to go on one. I've never gone on a Celebrity cruise nor has anyone in my family, so I'm hoping to get a feel for whether a particular trip I'm seeing is a good deal/idea.

September 2026, 6 nights on Celebrity Summit from Vancouver to LA with one stop in San Francisco. Per person: about $550 for inside cabin, $680 for veranda, $919 for Aqua which I've heard is worth it for dining but need to look into that a bit more (input is appreciated!)

It seems a bit cheaper than the other options I'm seeing, but I have two main concerns: length of the cruise for people that age who don't sail much and the ship class since I see people saying to book edge-class ships.

I'd love any thoughts, and if it isn't a good idea, I don't have any issue with checking the site occasionally for better options down the line

Is NEXUS application worth the headache as GE holder just because credit card will pay for it?

I have GE but realized one of my credit cards has an unused TTP credit that I figured I could use to transition to NEXUS. My question: is this worth the hassle?

I only just recently came back from my first trip to Canada, and as far as I understand, this would only help me when entering Canada. How much of a benefit is this exactly? I entered by sea, so unfortunately, I wasn't able to experience that part of the airport customs process

I figure that I'll have a good amount of time to finish the NEXUS interview process so I could just do it during my next natural trip to Canada without it being any "extra" effort.

If I'm mistaken about something or if there's a reason I didn't consider that would make this process not worth the effort, please let me know!

Info: I live in California, not near any of the border interview sites so everything would be done at the airport(s)

"Hi Again! Salmon Bowl, add Avocado?"

Just an appreciation post for my favorite dish on the ship: salmon poke bowl, add avocado. Had this 6 times during my 8 night trip and the crew member remembered me by the third day 😅🫣 Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of one of the bowls, but I'll remember it in my heart (and stomach) lol

On a cruise and love that there's a Korean restaurant, but this is hilarious to me 😂

I want to preface this by saying I love the effort to recreate an authentic Korean experience where strangers are seated together at a round KBBQ table with (complimentary) soju games. It's a great atmosphere

The menu was almost entirely romanized alongside a Korean translation. Then I noticed 닭강정 which had a Korean translation of "chicken nugget" 😭😂

I let the hostess know and made sure to mention it was just to let them know and that it didn't bother me at all. She said she would pass it along and didn't realize because they don't get many Korean passengers

I don’t know if I should be disappointed in my sister or ashamed that I never taught her right 😔
