FUJICA P300 SOUND FILM CAMERA
I am not an expert but I have a passion for photography. I bought a film camera for the first time because it was just around $5.
After doing some research, I found out it’s a Fujica P300 Sound and it uses Single-8 film. From what I’ve read, Single-8 is kind of rare nowadays and can be a bit expensive/hard to find. I’m not really expecting it to be cheap or easy to maintain, but I still really want to try using it and learn from it.
I just wanted to ask for advice on what to expect with this kind of camera and format. Like:
- where do people usually buy Single-8 film now?
- how do you properly use and store it?
- and what’s the usual process for developing it today (labs, scanning, etc.)?
Since it’s pretty rare, I’m not sure if there are any beginner mistakes I should avoid or anything I should know before I start shooting.
Any tips or guidance would really help. Thank you so much!
