Overview
The Goblin Ref is an online league management platform that aims to provide a high quality alternative to the current crop of league and tournament management platforms currently available.

Active development has been underway for just over six months and the release of v1.0 focusing on tabletop league support is nearing completion.

Version 0.59

v59.0 was released last night, with a small bug fix v59.1 being released this morning. The goal of v59 was to address one of the major recurring issues seen across the application. Specifically that teams, leagues, and match reports would sporadically lose updates. After adding a pile of additional logging the bug was identified and fixed. Testing revealed other smaller issues that were also corrected.

Leagues, match reports, and teams now all correctly check for changes before committing updates to the back-end. The league management, standings, and schedule panels also received a light touch-up in this release with a focus on improving the performance of the UI.

What's next?

Top of the pile for v0.60 is the redrafting logic, including ending a season, and better support for team management in the post-season.

Additionally the match report itself will likely get a second ground-up redo as the current multi-step flow has proven difficult for users to navigate.

Known Issues

There's a few known bugs that will likely be squashed in point releases before v0.60 arrives specifically:

  • Renumbering players. While presently supported, it's not working as expected and needs redone.
  • Updated High Elf roster.
  • Random skill check for Violent Innovator so it won't be generated for an ineligible positional.

As always feedback is hugely appreciated and that brings us to...

We're hiring! (Sort of)

While I'm fully capable of developing a site that is performant, mostly bug-free, and fully featured my artistic abilities are more along the lines of crayons and scribbles. I'd love to work with a graphic or UI designer, and fellow Blood Bowl player, to make the site look it's best. Interested? Feel free to DM me and we can discuss specifics!

There’s at least two other docks. Likely hundreds of caretakers across the various POIs, where are the other boats?

I half expected a wreck in the other sanctuary docks. I keep hoping for a shipwreck (or two)

I feel like there are so many options for underwater environmental storytelling.
