i have a massive hole in one of my teeth need advice asap
the x-ray is from a year ago from when i got my root canal on my other tooth.
a big portion of the crown of my teeth on one of my back lower teeth is gone like it's missing so there's a big hole there now but it only hurts a lot like a lot when food gets in or when i brush a bit too deep in that tooth but its been there for a year so i just haven't been chewing on that side of my mouth
it has gotten bigger like i feel like the whole top of my tooth is going to disappear and my nerve is just gonna be out and i'm really scared
i just got braces yesterday, and my dentist put a bracket that tooth so i don't think she will extract it any time soon. i already have a root canal on one of my teeth on the opposite side and it hurt like hell (physically and financially) so i am really scared of having to experience a root canal if ever.
my dentist recommended that she "pasta" or filled it in but she didn't do an x-ray before putting my braces in so i think she just went off how it looked.
i plan on chatting to her about it tomorrow since i'm not due for an appointment in a month and i already feel bad for my mom because she didn't know that i was already going to get braces yesterday, she and i were told that it was going to be a check-up only and it ended up being expensive and i feel really guilty already. we don't have insurance and i'm a minor idrk how this works.
plz help what should i do
