Two sb 3000 r evolutions in a bedroom
Am I crazy? I live in a smallish loft apartment (900 - 1000 sqft) main bedroom is in on open mezzanine style room. Rest of apartment open, 18 foot ceiling on main floor which bedroom overlooks.
My set up right now is kef r3 meta LR, kef r2 meta center, q1 meta surround, svs sb1000pro I had with my older 2.1 set up. One plus I guess is that all speakers are away from walls.
I have a denon x3800h as a reciever.
I live in canada. pretty sure the 25% tarrif applies to imports. Cheap and good subs are few and far between here. No PSA, no rythmic, no hsu, no jtr etc. SVS and paradigm are the main options under 3k cad. No really sure about tone winner.
Been looking at sb s3000 r evolution. definitely want one. My question is do I get 2?
Problem is it's crowded here. This is a bed room. Bed facing tv and lrc speakers the svs sb 1000 pro is in front to the side, sounds good.
A second sub would have to go next to the bed close to the wall opposite of main speakers. Big king size with big mattress.
Does getting 2 make sense at all in this frenkenstein listening room?
As for listening I would say 60 to 70% music and 30 to 40% movies/tv series. I love having surround for tv and movies though. Makes a huge difference.
Oh for those worried, we are above the garage, corner unit, concrete walls (covered in drywall) Only neighbours I think would hear anything are above neighbours.
