Space game with no combat that focuses on exploration and just relaxing.

Still haven't found *the* space game where I can just relax in my spaceship, explore the galaxy.

There have been a few close contenders:

EVE online - probably the closest in terms of ambience. It was missing the ability to directly control you ship and lacked an internal cockpit to explore. Even just the ability to orbit a planet would have made this so much better.

No Man's Sky - It's more like piloting a water vessel as your ship will come to rest in space which is a huge bummer. Would be a contender in those rare ments you find a peaceful moon, until 50 ships suddenly warp in just cause. Feels way too crowded for the vastness of space. Points for the sheer exploration of travel options. Again no orbit. Does have a cockpit, but its either/or. Either a one man seater or a freighter.

Q: What do you want to do?

A: Vibe.

I feel like so many games spend too many resources on combat and I specifically am looking for non-combat.

Give me Euro Truck Simulator in Space. Let me build my own Millennium Falcon outside and in. And just fly.

I want to just vibe as I put my ship into Orbit on a remote moon in a remote galaxy exploring a vast cosmos while deciding if I want to remodel the bridge or head to the cabin.

The amazing view outside is my reward.
