Need opinion for 12-day itinerary
hello! for context, ill be using a car for the whole of 10 days, but ill need some help planning the route more efficiently based on your experience! i would appreciate any comments given for the first 8 days as we are aiming to make the trip more relaxed and not rushed! thank you in advance 🫶🏻
Day 1 - Beppu
- Land 820am in fukuoka, collect car at 10am
- Kokonoe Yume Otsuribashi
- Yukemuri Observation Deck
- Beppu Jigoku (if time permits)
- Check in and dinner
Day 2 - Beppu & Yufuin
- Beppu Jigoku
- Yufuin Floral Village + Lake Kinrin
- Takasakiyama natural zoo
- Any other recommendations on where to visit?
- Check in and dinner
Day 3 - Takachiho + Migazaki (The Dillema)
For this day, i was wondering if its better to put Takachiho together with Mount Aso, or is the following plan more efficient:
- Drive 1h30min to takachiho gorge
- Takachiho shrine
- Aoshima Island
- Back to miyazaki hotel
Day 4 - Kagoshima
- Drive 1hr to Kirishima shrine
- Takachiho Farm
- Lunch
- Kirishima
- Sakurajima
- Sleep at kagoshima
Day 5 - Kagoshima
- Sengan-en
- Tenmonkan
Day 6 - Kumamoto & Mt Aso
- Kumamoto Castle
- Aso milk factory
- Mt Aso
- Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu
Day 7 - Kumamoto

- We currently are planning this out but im not sure if there is time to go nagasaki or should we extend some of our stays in other areas😭
Day 9 - 10 - Itoshima + Fukuoka
Day 11 - Dazaifu
