Just visited the incredible Nyatapola Temple in Bhaktapur, Nepal 🇳🇵

Built in 1702, this five-story pagoda temple has survived multiple major earthquakes, including the devastating 2015 earthquake.

The craftsmanship is honestly amazing — every wooden carving and brick detail tells a story.

What I found most interesting was the staircase guardians. Each pair of statues is believed to be 10 times more powerful than the one below it.

From wrestlers and elephants to lions and goddesses, the symbolism is fascinating.

Bhaktapur feels like an open-air museum with ancient squares, temples, local culture, and traditional Newari architecture everywhere. If you're visiting Nepal, don’t skip this place.

Has anyone else been to Bhaktapur? What was your favorite spot there?
