is it normal to not lock rates for clients?

I am a sitter myself and I just hired a sitter through Rover to walk my dog. I booked with them only a few days ago and I was going to book with them again, but they had raised their prices by five dollars. I know that may not seem like a lot but when I get a new client, I usually lock prices for them and would inform them if I was going to raise prices. I was just curious what everybody’s normal is? Do you usually lock prices for clients?
This sitter is fairly new to Rover and only has 16 reviews and told me they just started in March.
