Separating whale fin

Looking advice on when to separate or whether to separate. Started a few years ago with just that big leaf on the right. The two others grew quickly at first but seem to have slowed done. Each is ~ 12-18 inches.

I kind of want to separate them but wasn’t sure of that’s better or worse for the plant. Any thoughts? Success or failures if you’ve separated a whale fin?
