The teams plan their routes the day they leave the hotel (supposedly) but then it all depends on transport and how far they can get. Yet when they arrive at locations and "strangers" homes, the locals have put on live dancing and music in the community hall. How did anyone know they'd end up there?

Why do they do this?? You'd kick right off if an EV was sat at an fuel pump you were trying to use!
