Tata has 6 launches planned by March 2027. Looks like the EV push is getting serious now
Tata Motors seems to be preparing a fairly busy FY2027, with plans for two all-new models and four facelifts by March 2027. And from the looks of it, the bigger story is clearly around electrification.
The first major launch is expected to be the Sierra EV, likely arriving between July and September 2026. It should sit between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s electric SUV line-up, with expected 55kWh and 65kWh battery options, along with RWD and AWD layouts.
After that, Tata is also expected to bring the Safari EV around the festive season. This could be a very important product because it will be Tata’s first three-row electric SUV and likely its flagship EV. If it borrows the Harrier EV’s battery options, we could see 65kWh and 75kWh packs with both RWD and AWD versions.
The four facelifts could be for the Tiago and Tigor line-up, including both ICE and EV versions. These cars have been around for a while now, so updates are overdue. The EV versions could also get Tata’s newer drivetrain tech from the Punch EV facelift. What’s even more interesting is the Avinya brand. Tata’s first premium born-electric model may debut in FY2027, likely as a large SUV based on a skateboard EV platform.
Overall, this feels like Tata trying to cover everything from affordable EVs to premium electric SUVs. The big question is whether they can manage quality, software and after-sales at the same pace as the product launches.
What do you guys think? Is Tata’s EV strategy starting to look genuinely strong, or are they launching too much too quickly?
Has anyone seen the "north america mai pae jana vala raccoon" episode?
drunk neighbour just smashed my car's front glass
I had parked my car outside like I normally do and was inside the house when suddenly there was this proper loud noise from outside. For a second I genuinely thought something had fallen or maybe there was some accident, so I rushed out immediately to check what had happened.
The moment I stepped out, I saw my car’s front glass completely shattered. And the worst part is, I could see my neighbour walking back towards his house with a brick in his hand. He was clearly drunk, and by the time I could even process what had happened, he had already started going inside.
I don’t even know what to say at this point. I’ll probably speak to his family in the morning and figure out how they want to handle this, because I don’t want to create unnecessary drama at night. But this has just ruined my day. You park your car peacefully, minding your own business, and then somebody randomly decides to do this. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? What’s the right way to take this ahead?
