Hi everyone! I’m new to the UGC space and to SideShift, so I wanted to ask if this is standard practice or if I should be careful

I got a message on SideShift from “Live Translator” saying they’re looking for creators to collaborate with. Their message basically says:

1. Fill out the form
2. After submitting, join their WhatsApp group

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I assumed all communication for collabs would stay within SideShift, especially at the beginning. So I’m a little unsure about being asked to move the conversation to WhatsApp right away/download WhatsApp before there’s even been any actual discussion.

Is this normal on SideShift? Has anyone worked with Live Translator specifically?

I’m genuinely starting to feel like I’m shouting into the void at this point.

I apply to so many UGC opportunities, ike A LOT. I follow the briefs, I submit everything properly… and then… nothing. I’m starting to wonder if my applications are even being seen at all.

What’s even more confusing is that on some platforms, ratings matter a lot to get more opportunities… but how am I supposed to get rated if I can’t even get my first few jobs in the first place? It feels like a loop I can’t break out of.

I don’t know if I’m missing something super obvious or if this is just the painful beginner phase nobody talks about.

If anyone has been through this and figured it out, please help a girl out because I’m clearly lost here.
