650c wheels for free

650c training wheels for free, 10 speed shimano hub, there’s even a wheel bag.

I tried to get rid of these ages ago - hoping I’ll have more luck now that it’s bike jumble.

There must be someone nursing a 2000s tri bike out there somewhere right?!

Mid Brooklyn, right off the Q

I am researching my wife's family, and can get as far on the side I'm most interested in as her great grandfather, Charles R(einhart) Schubert (1880-1934), who was married to Emma Raeppel (/Haeppel etc.).

That, unfortunately, is where the trail goes cold for me. Charles R's death certificate indicates his parents were "Chas", from PA, and "Anna" from IL. I cannot locate Chas (presumably Charles or some German precursor like Carl), or Anna to my satisfaction. The only other clue I have (and it's an interesting one), is that in 1910 Charles R. and his wife Emma were living with an Eva Schubert, with Charles R. listed in the census as Eva's adopted son. Eva (nee Englehard, the adoptive mother) was married to an Andreas [B] Schubert - the common last name must be significant - and they had a large and traceable family as well. Andreas and Eva appear to have immigrated together very young in 1852 and married shortly afterwards. I have had no luck tracing this couple back to Germany either. So, my list of mysteries:

- who are Chas and Anna? Who are their ancestors?
- who are Andreas' and Eva's ancestors?
- what is the link between Chas / Anna / Charles R. on the one hand, and Andreas / Eva on the other, such that Charles R. was adopted by the latter couple? Andreas and Eva had a biological son called Charles in 1860 and for a while I was working on the theory that Charles R. might have been born out of wedlock to that Charles, and then adopted by "Grandma Eva", but it didn't seem to fit.

Do Ancestry links work here? I guess I'll find out:

Charles R.'s death certificate listing Chas and Anna:

The 1910 census showing Charles R. and Emma living with Eva (of course, the 1900 census doesn't appear to help, Charles R. was ~20 and probably in the wind, and as for 1890...):

Can anyone help with my 3 questions above? I would be tremendously grateful, and if there are avenues to pursue that require time and expense ahead of merely skills I don't have, please let me know that to - I am motivated to try to make progress on this.

I can trace my wife's family back on the side I'm interested in to a Charles R(einhart) Schubert (1880-1934) and Emma Raeppel (lots of variations on her maiden name) (1885-1957). I want to follow up through Charles' ancestors but am stuck. The two clues I'm relatively confident on are his death, reported here:

and the fact that at the time of the 1910 census he was *adopted* by, and together with his wife Emma, living with, an Eva Schubert.

Eva Schubert (nee Englehart) is very traceable and has a big family from her marriage to an Andreas Schubert - Andreas and Eva came to the US together very young in 1852 and married soon afterwards.

Circling back to Charles, his death report lists his parents as "Chas" (Presumably Charles or a German precursor like Karl) and Anna.

Assuming Chas and Anna are correct, I cannot find a link between that couple on the one hand, and Andreas and Eva on the other, and am stumped as to why Charles (biological son of the first couple) would end up being adopted by the second couple (or at least Eva), who happened to share his last name. In the unlikely event you're still with me(!), one of Andreas and Eva's biological children was called Charles and was just about old enough to be the father of my Charles so I was working on a "child-out-of-wedlock-adopted-by-Grandma" theory, but I can't make it work.

Finally, Ancestry is convinced it knows who Charles' father Chas is, and is pushing me lots of hints to the same person. Their Chas married an Anna, but that is the only alignment I can see - there's no mention of him having a son called Charles across any of the records (representative example below). I have flirted with the idea that Ancestry's Charles is Chas but apart from my clicking around in the past I've no idea why Ancestry is so convinced this is the path forward when my Charles just isn't in evidence.

Can anyone help? If someone is able to find a convincing breakthrough - and in a dream scenario to go back a generation or two further in Germany / Austria - I would be willing to reimburse them for their time.
