Hi, does anybody know anyone who might be able to help me with getting an office job related to IT that is eligible for work visa sponsorship, please? I did my MSc in Cybersecurity but have been unable to find work in it even though I’ve been looking for like 2.5 years. I had to resort to working as a care assistant to pay my bills and the home care agency I work for is completely unethical and exploits its workers. They are obliged to give me 37.5 hours of work a week but for two weeks they gave me no shifts at all and when I complained to HR, they gave me 12 hours and then 16 hours over the next two weeks. As a result I’m now in my overdraft and financially struggling. They don’t pay London living wage or travel expenses or travel time. They give at most 12 shifts of 30 min a day or less sometimes and I’m out from 8 am to 8 pm running to about 12 houses a day by foot. I’ve been trying to find another job because I’m financially and mentally struggling but because I need to be sponsored and hardly anyone wants to sponsor, it’s been near impossible. I feel trapped as I’m tied to this employer through my visa and can’t even do retail work on the side to get an extra income as it’s not permitted in the visa. I’ve tried everything possible from Indeed to Linkedin. If anyone can help in anyway with tips on finding office work that is more in line with my education and experience I would be incredibly grateful before this job leads me to having a breakdown. Thank you. Also, please before you comment, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all as I’m not in the head space to entertain mean comments.
