ISO: Advisor/Ombudsman/Legal Consultant re: disability accommodation in the workplace
I am an employee who has been advised by my union rep & my supervisor that it would be in my best interest to have the informal accommodations my workplace has suggested on file as official accommodations, as I have diagnosed “disability.”
For my own privacy I don’t want to specify the conditions, but I don’t see them as disabilities in my day-to-day life; they would be considered “invisible.”
I am in search of a person experienced with these matters to assist me in filling out the required paperwork and navigating how much information I would need to share with my current employer, as this information would go into a larger system that has been subjected to malware before. (To state the obvious, I do not feel comfortable turning over a general “access to records” since I have obviously been treated for other issues that do not apply to this situation.)
Anyone dealt with this before? Anyone know of a person or agency I could contact? Thanks!
