80k followers but new niche videos only get 200-500 views
I already asked here before about changing niche on TikTok.
I have a TikTok account with 80k+ followers, but my old content was only AI videos around 10 to 20 seconds long, so it was very hard to monetize. Because of that, I decided to move to a new niche.
The problem is that my old videos used to get hundreds of thousands of views, and now my videos in the new niche only get around 200, 300, or 500 views max. So far I’ve only posted 10 videos in this new niche.
Is this normal at the beginning when you switch niche? Do I just need to keep posting so TikTok understands that the account has changed direction? Would it make sense to post at least 2 videos a day for a while?
What confuses me is that the engagement seems pretty good for the number of views. For example, on 300 views I often get around 65 to 70 likes, so the like ratio looks strong, but the videos still don’t get pushed further.
Has anyone here been through the same thing after a niche change?
