Looking for advice and pitfalls to avoid when doing Movie Theatre Karaoke

Running karaoke inside this theatre. First time in theatre with an actual crowd and think I need to upgrade my audio. There is seating for 150, with a 2ft elevated stage directly below screen. Any pitfalls/suggestions? I have a dedicated audio tech day of.

Audio:

Plan was to run backing tracks on house audio and vocals on dedicated vocal PAs (two electro voice everse 8s + 18" sub). The final room sound feels too separated.... I know my everse are underpowered for this venue, so also would want to know where to spend any upgrade money wisely.

Lighting:

We need to keep light off the screen (or we wash out the karaoke lyrics) but we have one 300w light with a snoot for a spot and a 200w light with hex softbox, + 3 10" led rgb panels for side and backlight, and a few magnetic light sticks for the mic stands (spashing on the performer).

Internet:

Wifi dedicated edge router connected to starlink access point on roof of building (hardwired to router).
