Agnes makes a point of saying women aren't taught science when Paula talks about her prefrontal cortex developing and Agnes has no idea what that means. Yet Hulda is shown talking about "high pressure weather systems" and "bioflavonoids." I can't see any reason the Plums would be taught about barometric pressure. Family nutrition maybe? But I feel like they wouldn't use scientific terms like bioflavonoid, they would just talk about what foods to prepare for healthy babies or whatever. Do you think Hulda could be secretly receiving a real education somehow?
