If you are so excruciatingly angry about “Gucci manes a snitch” so much that your blood boils then you never were truly a fan in the first place. You were never a Gucci mane fan, you were a fan of the gangster badass persona he had 20 years ago.

When I first got into Gucci mane I had no idea who he was or anything about his past life

I just thought he was a really dope rapper who could spit

I can’t understand why you seem to not be doing the same.

I CAN understand the authenticity, and “what about the deal” issues.

When you make your whole entire career about sticking to the code… or anything really, you’re supposed to stand by it

So with allegations of him “going back”, I can see WHY you’re upset

Im gonna sound like a fake fan when I say this, but I promise I’m not. I’m gonna ask this from a neutral perspective: it also makes you wonder, what was inside that contract that made Pooh shiesty go to extreme lengths to get out of it?

There are things that I don’t like about Gucci mane

We should all have things we don’t like about our favorite actors, rappers, athletes, celebrities, whoever. It helps keep them and ourselves in place.

Fandom is about supporting someone. Not blindly following or believing everything they say. This applies to anybody.

But… if you know his history, you can kind of piece together that Gucci mane was trapped

Let me explain what I mean:

- in September 2013 he got arrested for illegal gun possession, and got out in may 2016 (his last legal offense)

- he already had a huge barrage of crimes before that

- if he doesn’t cooperate with police he may go back to jail again for life due to how lengthy his criminal history is

- he was held at gunpoint

- Gucci can’t have guns to defend himself because he’s a felon and it is illegal to have guns if you’re a felon in the United States

- if he did fight back against them he could face other charges (this is exactly what happened in may 2005 with the Jeezy beef)

“Why did he have to say anything if there was video evidence”

The people in the video were wearing dark clothing. A common tactic used by criminals to make identification harder.

And if he didn’t follow the officers commands they could give him more charges than he already has

And this is actually some little kid shit too

Youre so upset about Gucci mane “snitching” that you can’t even enjoy the music anymore. What did you like about Gucci mane in the first place?

You sound like little boys who listen to king von to be “hard” or whatever it is (no king Von slander, hes a good rapper but his fanbase is full of 12 year olds)

Again, I can understand the other sides concerns:

“If you are about something then you have to stand by it”

But do you care more about gang culture or the music?

Maybe it’s a good thing Gucci mane left his old life behind

Im significantly younger than most of the people in this subreddit and the people my age are the ones that would be saying “WAHHHHH GUCCI MANES A SNITCH”
