we’re applying for apartments and obviously everyone is super qualified and makes enough money, great references and credit the whole shabang. but still, the apartments go to other people. it’s like based on the length of your hair or the color of your aura upon entering the open house swarming with 150 other people at this point i guess. i guess i’ll just have to start sobbing in command for the next one and i’ll see how that goes. many of the leasing agents have asked us to write a letter to “stand out”. like this is a place to live not a toddler beauty pageant oh my god. i’m asking for a chance to be even in the running to be able to pay an exorbitant amount of money each month for a room directly facing a wall. goodnight
