AI powered dating apps are scams

so I had told wave that I want someone who’s attractive to me, it’s an important factor.

Now I feel like she’s straight up judgin them only based on what photos they have uploaded.

It’s feeling very judgemental or by flat when the whole idea is to be understood right ?

She’s interpreting things quite literally and it’s sorta not making sense?

19F, found my boyfriend on this new bangalore-based dating app

okay so i've been on hinge and bumble for like two years and nothing. matches that go nowhere, guys who open with "hey" and then vanish, you know how it is.

my friend told me to try this new bangalore based app called wavelength and i was skeptical because what's one more app going to do. but the onboarding is actually different, there's this AI that does a voice call with you instead of just making you fill out a profile. i thought it would be cringe but it asked me stuff that actually made me think, not the usual "what are your hobbies" type questions.

they matched me with this guy and we talked for like three hours the first time.

it's only been a few weeks but honestly it already feels different from anything i've had from regular apps. he's funny and actually listens which i'm learning is rarer than it should be.

my mom asks how we met and i say "through friends" because explaining AI matchmaking to her at 9pm is not something i have the energy for

anyway just wanted to share because i know a lot of people here are tired of the usual apps. wavelength is bangalore based and still pretty new so worth a shot i think
