I was in Biratnagar. Orange Hindu flags everywhere, and walls and doors were painted with Hindu symbols. The moment I entered Biratnagar from Itahari, that was all I could see. There were also some orange flags in Itahari, but not as extreme as in Biratnagar. What could be the reason for Terai....

What could be the reason for Terai being the most Hindu extremist region in Nepal? In Kathmandu and other hill regions, and even in areas where the Terai begins, where mostly the people who originally migrated from the hills live, aren't this much extreme Hindus as the people who live near the border like Biratnagar for example.

Comrade Chunauti, commander of the 16th Battalion of the People's Liberation Army, during the movement to end the monarchy in Nepal, 2005 🇳🇵 [1080 × 1441]

While Chunauti, real name Juna Rai, had joined the Maoist People's Liberation Army in 2003, her brother enlisted in the Royal Nepali Army and both fought on opposite sides during the battles of Bhojpur and Diktel Districts. After the end of the conflict Juna Rai was among the Maoist soldiers integrated into the national army.

No country can beat Indians when it comes to spreading false rumors. First their media, and now their so-called youth, none seem to think before speaking. Tribhuvan did everything he could to get back on the throne, but apparently he asked Indian PM to merge Nepal with India, and India refused 😭🙏
