This will be a fairly long post as I am posting on behalf of a friend who isn’t on Reddit and ordered from Goal Thread based on my suggestion as it had great reviews on this sub.

My friend ordered an Italy Away Player Version XXL from the Goal Thread website on the 23rd of April through COD.

  1. More than 40 hours after ordering, he was asked to pay a shipping fee of 80 up front. This wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the website. He had no issue paying it, but he was quite disappointed given that these hidden fees are marks of scams. Yet, once confirmed that this wasn’t an extra 80, he agreed to pay.
  2. For some reason, GT refused to take the money and made it look like they were almost testing whether my friend was actually serious about buying it or not. I found this kinda funny.
  3. Anyway, they ship the item on the 26th of April and there is no update for a while as it keeps showing up on the Delhivery website that the package hasn’t been picked up.
  4. My friend asks for an update on the 29th of April. GT says that they will go to the hub and give an update that day.
  5. My friend waits for the next three days before checking the Delhivery website to see that the entire delivery has been cancelled. GT never bothered to let them know this nor give an update, despite saying that they will.
  6. When my friend asked for an explanation, they said it wasn’t updated but the pickup issue remains.
  7. My friend gave them till Tuesday i.e. yesterday to provide the jersey. Good that GT themselves cancelled on Monday saying that because of some shipping issues, the package is considered lost now.
  8. That should have been the end of the story, but interestingly GT sent a photo of the same jersey. For what reason, neither my friend nor I can decipher! Perhaps to gain sympathy and regain trust.

Anyway, not going to buy or recommend anyone I personally know to buy from Goal Thread again owing to their lackadaisical attitude. I have also realised that most Reddit suggestions are just probabilities, because you don’t know which works and which doesn’t. And sellers who have issues with COD shouldn’t advertise that option, in all honesty.

PS Not discouraging people on the sub to buy from Goal Thread, but be very careful with them.
