Trying to decide on a career path
I’m just looking for advice. I’m 26 and since I turned 18 I’ve been working in retail, it’s been fine I just feel like I’m ready for a career change and ready for my “big girl job”. I want something that pays well and that I can have a good work life balance. For the last maybe 2-3 years I’ve been thinking about doing something in health care but I wouldn’t say I’m “passionate” about it or that I’ve always wanted to be a nurse or doctor. I’ve seen a LOT of people speak highly about x-ray techs and that it’s a good job with good pay so that’s something I’m thinking about. I also saw Surgical tech and it does sound pretty cool but idk. I also considered to try to go to school for vet or vet tech but after doing more research I’ve seen so many people say it’s thankless work and in this economy it’s not worth it. So any advice would be greatly appreciated, I want to take this next step in my life but I’m so scared of choosing the wrong thing and then regretting it or feeling like I have to stick with it because I chose it.
