A decent entry in the Don't-stick-your-D-in-crazy subgenre of the erotic thriller that was so prevalent in the 80s&90s (think 'Body Heat', 'Fatal Attraction', 'Basic Instinct', et al.)

Hitchcock's penultimate film. A far cry from the glossy sheen of his 60's star-studded Hollywood pictures, his return to Britain yielded this rather nasty black comedy about a serial killer terrorizing London. Has some terrific set-pieces and a general air of unsavoriness about it.

My favorite De Palma movie. Love Pacino & Penn in this. From the cold opening gunshot and the first notes of Patrick Doyle's mournful score, an air of tragedy hangs over the whole film. The sustained chase/climax at the train station is exemplary of what the term 'Absolute Cinema' was coined for.
