Night of Dark Shadows
I really enjoyed this movie because of how atmospheric it was. I prefer it to House of Dark Shadows. I just hate how much context is missing from this movie. We aren't given any context about Gerard. I assume he was hooking up with Angelique's ghost before Quentin came?
I feel like this movie needed a minimum of 30 extra minutes. I'm in my 30s and never saw anything to do with this movie before. When Quentin has flashbacks of Charles Collins' life, when Charles is left in a sealed room, is that the same place that Quentin & Tracy later explore with candelabras in hand, in the basement, mimicking all the passages underneath the old house? When Tracy gets stuck in a room, I assume that is where they sealed Charles left to die?
How did the Jenkins' have one of Charles' old paintings (the one showing the scar on his face)
I'm sure I have more questions, but those are the ones coming to mind. I hate how much seems to be missing from this film. Be that as it may, I really enjoy it! In the past I visited Lyndhurst, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, & Seaview Terrace. I didn't purchase the movies until recently.
I so wish whatever footage is missing would be restored & re-released as a dvd to watch this movie in full. Why on earth did they leave it with missing pieces? In my opinion, both movies seemed so rushed!
