If no one uses it for picnicking then why have it in the first place?

Knowing that this lawn wasn’t meant for picnicking or playing on, it’s certainly wasting a bunch of space and water when they could’ve been using it as a little piece of the landscape before the city and invasive plants took over. California fescue, California fuscha, and California poppies would be perfect in this hideous little landscape job.

My pin oak seedling’s new growth is not turning green. The shoots are firming up and I just noticed the leaves are weakly attached to the stem.
