This has been a long time coming but I feel like I'm on the final stretch! I've moved several tonnes of earth to get to the level and (hopefully) flat bare patch of earth I've got now.

I seeded with a blend of 40% perennial rye and 60% of a couple of different red fescues. Sowed on the morning of 29th April. 7 days in and I'm not seeing any growth yet. I'm keeping it well watered - we keep getting promised rain but haven't had any yet.

The second pic shows how I've had to make the area "messy" to try and deter a fox from coming back and digging every night! It was covered in fleece but the area is quite large and so the fleece was sagging and sticking to the ground so I removed it.
