EasyEv Plan details released!

Glo Bird have finally released details about their new EV plan.

Rates below are for NSW Ausgrid, check the links below for your specific pricing details.

- 6cKwh between 11-2pm and 12-6am (first 20Kwh)
Location specific pricing:
- supply charge $1.23
- peak charges $53.90c (4-9pm)
- shoulder rate and off peak ($36.30c KWh)*
- 5c solar feed in rebate between 4-9pm

* noting the first 20Kwh during off peak is 6c KWh.

I think it’s a competitive plan for non solar and battery owners that have Ev charging needs but want to avoid the commercial costs incur at public chargers.

A few weeks ago I flagged a change to the ZeroHero pricing and plan options in another thread to raise awareness.

After contacting Globird and initiating the switch, the whole process took about 10 days from accepting the revised offer to being moved onto the new plan.

I wanted to share the outcome for existing plan users compared to the updated pricing.

For me, there’s been no change in usage or export behaviour, but I’m seeing a net increase of about $0.40 in returns. Going from an average of -$1.60 to -$1.90

My typical pattern is charging the battery during the free window (11am–2pm) and exporting ~20 kWh during the 6–8pm peak period

Overall, small uplift—but worth noting for anyone considering the switch.
