So, I feel like my question is kind of niche but not obscure. I haven’t had much success googling my issue or digging through old Reddit post, so I thought I would take a shot here.

I run DolphiniOS on my iPhone. A few months ago, my setup was basically this..I had DolphiniOS installed on my phone along with StikDebug. I would launch StikDebug to get JIT and then launch DolphiniOS. This was seamless, but Apple then released iOS 26.4 which broke everything. The folks over at sidestore did a great job reprogramming the IP stack tunnels and have gotten it working again now on 26.4.

This time around, I decided I was going to try out live container + sidestore to give myself some flexibility with app installs. Upon installing DolphiniOS inside of live container, i had some glitchy issues with DolphiniOS. It’s almost like read/write permissions.

But essentially, DolphiniOS repository gets this file path on the phone LiveContainer>Data>Application>(application name)>Documents. This is where the configuration folder is, save files, game files, etc live. Before installing inside of live container I copied over the existing repository and pasted the items inside of this folder. All of my games launch, all of the saves came over, save states, etc. but I cannot seem to adjust my configuration file. If I make any changes inside of DolphiniOS, they don’t “stick”. The GFX.ini file doesn’t show updates with a new date, if I close the application and go back into it, it doesn’t save any of the changes.

Thinking it was an issue with the copied over file, I deleted the GFX.ini. I then thought DolphiniOS would create a new file when it didn’t see one and that would resolve it. But dolphin never creates the file. If I play a game and save it, or do a save state, it writes to the folder fine. But for whatever reason, configuration would change. Has anyone else dealt with this?

TLDR: DolphiniOS won’t save configuration file changes on iPhone
