A new study just came out this year ,and might be the cure for all constipation
I was just watching a video on youtube, and in the comment section someone ,mentioned this study from japan https://en.nagoya-u.ac.jp/news/articles/scientists-discover-bacterial-constipation-a-new-disease-caused-by-gut-drying-bacteria/ , they have found two gut bacteria working together that contribute to chronic constipation , and in the future there be some drugs to combat this "sulfatase enzyme" to prevent the bacterias from degrading mucin , as is the study mentioned .
But i dont understand how one of bacteria that is the Akkermansia muciniphila , when is present in the gut ,why not just overgrow the other bacteria to produce mucin , because of what i know this enhances gut barrier integrity, reduces chronic inflammation, promotes SCFA production
