Club tiers based purely on location?

So I'm a member of Chigwell, a tier 1 club. It's a very affluent area. I travel around for work a lot so I've been to various locations including Notting hill, Manchester North, Nottingham and Leicester.

The tier system seems to have nothing to do with the quality of the gym. Sure, the Chigwell one has the spa retreat, but in every other way, the Nottingham one for instance is far superior. Enormous roomy changing rooms, stunning gym, bigger restaurant, nicer pool. Yet it's tier 6/7?

I'm new to DL so most of you probably knew this already, but it was a bit of a shock to me. Even Manchester North which is a lower tier is far better than Chigwell imo.

Positive experience rebooking cancelled BA leg

So have a trip lhr to bangkok via doha booked in june. The fourth leg (doha to lhr) is operated by British Airways.

Today I received an email stating this leg is cancelled. I got onto live chat to qatar with under 3m waiting time, and i was rebooked on a qatar airways operated flight from doha to lhr at virtually the same time my BA one was.

Whether it goes ahead or not, we'll see. But for now, i thought id spread some positivity
