I posted earlier about the smaller wasp… but what the HELL is that big thing? Maryland, USA

These jerks keep getting into my house somehow. I’ve never seen a nest. We have a crawlspace in the attic that we’ve checked out but found no evidence of wasps in. I’m so confused. I’ve reached out to an exterminator but wondering the ID in the meantime. Maryland, USA
