I’ve started a project to code a series of free, low-CPU VSTs that emulate the "simple but essential" parts of a modular system. I’m starting with a Buchla LPG, but I want to build tools that actually help speed up the production process.

If you could take one small, specific function from your rack and turn it into a VST, what would it be?

I recently started coding my own VSTs because I wanted that Eurorack feel without the high CPU hit or the complexity of VCV Rack. My first project is a Buchla Low Pass Gate emulation.

I’m hooked on the process and want to build a series of free, simple plugins specifically for techno. I want tools that help speed up the creative flow.

What’s missing from your toolkit? Are there any "simple" things you wish you had as a VST, or something that needs a better version?
