High protein, low fat, inexpensive body building diet?
Hello. I'm relatively new to body building. I've always been skinny my whole life and want to put on some muscle. I joined a gym that offered a nutrition goal setting session.
They recommended for me:
143g protein
190g carbs
63g fat
only 1900 calories, for now.
I know the calories should probably be higher but I have a hard time finding high calorie foods that are healthy. My biggest struggle is reaching the calorie count in a healthy way AND keeping fat at 63g AND not breaking the bank.
Here's what some of what's already included in my diet daily:
[ ]1cup oatmeal with 113g nonfat cottage cheese with berries.
[ ] Cliff Bar
[ ] Cottage cheese cup with fruit
[ ] Premier protein shake
[ ] 170g nonfat yogurt with berries
[ ] Lunch has been chicken sausage or turkey burgers
[ ] Dinner varies but often some kind of chicken
Other snack and meal ideas that isn't cottage cheese, yogurt, canned tuna, or isn't too expensive? Foods that are high protein, low fat, high calories? And any other advice?
