Up until now, I’ve staked my tarp with stiff guy lines (the same stuff you hang the tarp with.) I’ve read the advice to use shock cord to stake your tarp, but I have a question: do you loop the shock cord from the stake to the tarp, or do you add a loop of shock to the tarp and then use a guy line to attach the stake to the shock? Am I over-thinking this?
