Finally beat the elite 4
I hope some of you remember me from a few days ago.. clearly I did some serious grinding.. decided to drop Garchomp and replace him with Togekiss.. i thought maybe I leveled up too much and felt that his earthquake might be a little OP. He was at level 66 when I benched him.
This team minus Garchomp was so much fun.. houndoom swept the bugs, Abomasnow basically swept the ground Mons, a whole team effort with Togekiss and Mismagius co-MVPing Flint, a clean sweep by Ursaring and Mismagius against the Psych’s (mostly Ursaring, used Mismagius to shadow ball Alakazam), and a real all around team effort to defeat Cynthia. Half the team got flash cannoned to smithereens by Lucario..
but then I thought OH!!!! He has STEEL TYPING!! So houndoom finished him off with a flamethrower. This is where it got interesting.. I tried to trigger a snow warning with Abomasnow vs. Milotic thinking I could OHKO her with wood hammer and then blizzard Garchomp when she faints.. but oh no. She hung around using recover and full restores for a while. I used that stall time to revive Mismagius and withdrew Abomasnow to trigger a second snow warning. Mismagius used trick room to ensure Abomasnow got off a few blizzards.. fainted Milotic with thunderbolt, put Abomasnow back in, triggered another snow warning, and blizzarded Garchomp. And done!! No cheesy earthquakes needed to beat the elite 4.
Sorry for the long winded essay but my last post got so much attention from you all that I couldn’t wait to share!! I had a blast and really looking forward to the post game
EDIT: it took two blizzards to KO Garchomp. Abomasnow ate a poison jab and then finished him off.
