This just happened to me and I’m a bit confused and honestly a little freaked out, so I want to see if anyone has experienced something similar.
I was on my phone watching plane takeoff/landing videos (no talking in the video, just plane sounds). Suddenly I heard a beep sound, and then a voice saying something like: hello… hello… can anyone hear me?
It didn’t sound robotic, it sounded like a real person (young male voice). At one point it was just the beep, and other times it was beep + the voice. It also felt like it was coming through my headphones, not from outside.
Important details:
I didn’t have TikTok, Facebook, or anything like that open in the background
I checked WhatsApp and I don’t have any voice notes like that
My phone shows no threats (ran Play Protect + Samsung scan)
Only normal apps used the mic (Google, WhatsApp, ChatGPT)
I did have Bluetooth headphones connected at the time
I also noticed some random nearby Bluetooth devices when scanning (not connected)
The voice sounded very real, not like a typical assistant response, which is why it confused me.
Has anyone experienced something like this before? Could it be, a Bluetooth/audio glitch?
voice assistant misfiring?, Just trying to understand what could realistically cause this.
Thanks in advance 🙏
