Give me your opinions!
Hi there, i'm a university student who is studying textiles, specialising in knit. I am currently writing an essay about craft and AI, specifically AI crochet patterns on etsy and other sites. I am just trying to get some first hand information on peoples opinions on ai and how it affects your pattern buying habits!
I don't think this is against the rules of this subreddit so hopefully this doesn't get taken down...
What do you look out for when looking for a pattern now, how are you able to tell if its real or AI?
Have you bought a pattern and later realised it was ai, did you try to make it? did it work?
Has this effected how you look at websites such as etsy for pattern buying?
Have you disregarded a pattern that you thought was ai and then relised it was made by a real person?
Are you a pattern seller? Do you think people have lost trust in creators?
finally what are your overall opinions on Generative AI in general?
