After shipping nonstop, we finally made a quick demo video for FrameRate

Hey everyone,

Over the past several months we’ve been building FrameRate.tv, a video platform focused on motion designers, filmmakers, editors, animators, and other video professionals.

Ironically, we’ve been shipping so fast that we never actually stopped to make a proper demo video showing what the platform does. 😅

So we finally put one together.

A lot of what inspired FrameRate was the feeling Vimeo used to have for the creative community. A place where presentation mattered, discovery felt human, and the work itself was the focus.

Some of the things we’ve built so far:

  • beautiful portfolio profiles
  • customizable embeds
  • frame-accurate review tools
  • live collaborative Sync Calls
  • showcases for pitching work to clients
  • collections and discovery features
  • community-focused feeds and curation

We’re still early, but the response from the motion design community so far has honestly been incredible.

Would genuinely love feedback from this community, both on the platform itself and the direction we’re taking it.

Thank you,
Tyler

Hey everyone, we just launched Channels on FrameRate.

Channels are curated spaces for specific types of work, styles, disciplines, or themes. The goal is to make discovery better and make it easier for great work to find the right audience.

And one thing I’m especially excited about is that the beloved Wine After Coffee is now on FrameRate as one of our channels. For a lot of us, they’ve been a real source of inspiration over the years, so it feels pretty special to have them here.

A few quick notes:

  • you can submit your own work to channels for consideration
  • you can subscribe to channels you like
  • new videos from those channels can appear in your Feed
  • if you want, you can turn channel posts off in your Feed settings

For now we’re mostly curating channels ourselves, but over time I’d love to open this up to trusted curators in the community too.

FrameRate.tv is not just about giving professional film and video artists a better place to share their work and collaborate.

It’s also about helping them get discovered and land more of the right opportunities.

That’s why we just launched a new availability feature. Users can now set their status on their profile to let the community know they’re available for work, with optional start and end dates.

Small feature, big potential. 💥

If you’re on FrameRate, you can update yours now in your profile settings.
