midtown really is sunshine and rainbows

kinda what i said in the title. Memphis is genuinely such a lovely place to be, especially midtown in the madison/cooper young/union/summer areas. one of my friends has an apartment in the area and whenever we hang out, we can just walk pretty much anywhere we go. there's always stuff to look around or do, stores to pop into, etc. i really love memphis so much, i think it's a shame a lot of people dislike it. does anyone have any more good recommendations for stuff to do? i think i know a decent bit but there's always more, plus summer is coming up!! tons of time to do fun stuff!!

windows in dorms ??

yall. sorry. do some of the dorms not have windows? are there any dorms i should watch out for ??
probably going to have a room in the honors housing, if that makes a difference. i’m used to tons of sun because i’m from the south and i’m kind of worried not having a window would make me depressed (no window = no sun). but like at a certain point does it even matter?? i know yall get a lot of snow and it’s frozen like, half the year, but whatever. i sleep under a big window right now back home and get to take naps in the afternoon sun and am trying to figure out if i need to smuggle a sun lamp in (joking) or what.
