Posted to centipedes too. Why is he purple! I found him under a rock (Chesapeake VA) in my backyard, under the mulberry tree. He is about 1 inch long and I dropped my yellow roly polies to grab him, his body is blatantly purple and his head and legs are tan/yellow. He heavily resembles a stone centipede, but he looks really weird. What is he?​

Just found this little guy under a rock outside and dropped my yellow roly pollies to collect him. He is purple bodied, blatantly eggplant purple, with a tan/yellow head and leaves. He looks like a juvenile stone centipede at one inch long, but not even molted ones. I have searched extensively but I am lost. Chesapeake, VA
