If you’re involved in an accident and you genuinely believe you are not at fault, it’s important to understand that the situation can still be reversed against you later. Even if a police report initially supports your side, that does not automatically protect you from being charged.

One key takeaway is this: do not assume that being overly accommodating or passive will protect you. It’s important to document everything properly and to assert your legal position early. Consulting a legal expert right away and understanding your rights can make a big difference in how the situation unfolds.

This is not about being aggressive for the sake of it, but about protecting yourself. Being calm and cooperative is still important, but it should be balanced with awareness and readiness to defend your side when necessary.
