All wired and buttoned up!

She is ready for strings!

After about 3 hours of wiring and testing, she now has volume and tone pots, a pickup selector switch for the guitar side and a mandolin/guitar selector switch.

And I still had a spare hole I'd accidentally made (I can't count, clearly) so it has a killswitch momentary button as well.

I was hoping to label the switches things like calm/storm for mando/guitar, rigging/hull for pickup selector, and one for the killswitch that simply said 'keelhaul' - but unfortunately due to size restraint on the top (and switch depths) I was unable to manage this one. Still. I may find a way yet.

I don't have time to string her today so I don't know how she sounds. Rest assured I will post up the results.

Ain't she pretty, though? This may be the best (but most insane) thing I have built to date.

Finally going to finish this... thing

Alright, well after nearly two years since I built this ~~beautiful~~ thing, I'm finally rewiring it correctly. I was going to pay to get it done, but I'm gonna do it myself (properly, this time) as the only bloke anywhere near me wanted £300 to do it, and even then I could tell he didnt really want to do it anyway. So I have now learnt how to wire it, and I'll save myself about £200 (need to get some parts and tools).

I'm glad I get to do it myself, nothing like the feeling of having ruined your own horrible work.

Or something like that anyway..

As you can see, it's been repainted since I made it, with its own logo (music note combined with a lighting bolt) and it has been renamed (*again*) to 'Stormlute'.

I may or may not record the wiring process, depends if those who remember me building it in the first place are still interested, and if can find an easy way to record. But I plan on debuting it in a video at some point.
