“Whitaker secretly hates Santos’ nicknames and is sooo scared to confront her“
Bro was canonically so happy to realize Santos actually likes living with him that he 1. Doesn’t care about her spilling his business to Robby 2. Offers to opt out of staying at his boss’ bachelor pad all to himself just to make sure he’s okay and not alone
You don’t have to like Santos to recognize that they are friends.
Wdym we’re aconfused at the concept of snapping after a longass, hardass work day? Wdym we’re sooo confused at the concept of Whitaker being more tolerant of teasing by his roommate-turned-friend of 10 months than a coworker he’s met for one shift almost a year ago? It’s almost like some of you simply refuse to watch ANY scenes of characters you dislike, then complain that nothing makes sense.
Does EVERYTHING need to be spelt out? Does Whitaker need to turn to the camera and say “This is my friend who I care about so of course I might be biased against someone who screamed at her and really made her doubt her abilities as a doctor?”
Or
“I think ‘dumb’ nicknames by a friend who is relatively my same age and rank is more tolerable than (perceived) ‘condescension’ from a senior who’s jokingly called me a trash can before and screamed at said friend?”
Some of you love to complain about the extreme bias from Santos’ fans who defend her at all costs, even when she IS absolutely in the wrong—- but will then be just as biased yourselves when it comes to anyone being even a little bit wary of or cold to Langdon.
For the record I love Langdon as a character and was thrilled to learn they’d brought him back for S2. Love his redemption arc and he really proved that he belongs in the ER this episode in such a badass way but MY GOD the way some of y’all will find any reason to bash and blame any character who doesn’t immediately accept him back with open arms on his FIRST shift back.
Can people not….take time…to warm up to someone? What happened to character arcs and progression?
Can we not just enjoy the beautiful, flawed, HUMAN aspects of the characters on this show without turning it into a moral purity pissing contest every. single. episode? Pls
