Don't let anybody tell you your bows and arrows don't belong on the dance floor.

These guys are rehearsing a form of their war dances for a tribal festival where they re enact group battles. It's a really fascinating sight to see a group of hundreds showing up with traditional archery equipment as their fore fathers once used as far back as 30 millenia before the pyramids.

On the topic of really long arrows and obscure archery, here's my mid weight New Guinea style long bow, designed for big fish and small crocodiles. 63lbs at 28, 78.5 inch nock to nock. Flat bamboo bow string, arrows unfletched and without nocks.

12 to 13 yards bow fishing practice shots at fully submerged fish size foam target. Arrows are 1000 grains, 20-22% FOC (some hunters from the tribes sometimes shoot 30%). More details about the bowstring and bow draw at the end of the video. Anyone else practices bow fishing? Seems pretty rare to see people shoot in aquatic environments here.
