Hey all

I work for a aged care staffing agency ( pca, ens , rns etc )

I am wondering aged cares request agency staff when its significantly more expensive. Would it not be better to pay that extra money to one of ur staff to fill it ?

Some aged cares are request daily it gets to a point of surely it would be more cost effective to hire an extra hand and keep on the side.

I understand if its a once off and really desperate but am confused on how aged cares go about getting so much agency staff instead of incentivising their own staff to pick them up with bonues. The money is going to the agency anyways so might aswell give it to your own people
