Official BINGO Sewing Challenge 2026 Post!

Official BINGO Sewing Challenge 2026 Post!

Welcome to the BINGO Sewing Challenge 2026! This is a six-month challenge with 25 mini-challenges that participants can use to build their own adventure in sewing.

BINGO Challenge Rules

  1. The BINGO challenge starts NOW! All entries must be submitted by midnight on Sunday, November 15, 2026. This is a six-month challenge.
  2. Only projects made during the challenge timeline count towards the challenge. This post is late so we are accepting projects from May 1st, 2026.
  3. Only three individual squares can be counted for any one project, but you can count four or five if in the same row or column.
  4. NEW this year! Use any one of the BINGO 2025 challenges as a wild card to replace one of the squares on the 2026 board.
  5. Join at any time, but the final deadline for all participants is November 15, 2026.

As you prepare to join in, think about the following:

  • Set your own challenge and pace. Do a row or column every month and finish the board by the deadline. Jump around to cover the board or do only the challenges that interest you. Make an X, a T or a C on your board. The choice is yours!
  • There will be monthly posts where participants can share progress and ask questions.
  • Feel free to start your own post using the BINGO flair to state your challenge, plan your strategy and track your progress.

Edited to say that May 1st was too ambitious and I will start the new challenge as soon as it is ready!

I loved running this challenge last year! I've meant to do a more formal poll about what worked and what didn't work so well with the BINGO challenge last year, but here we are.

The challenge will run May - November 15th so we can finish before the holiday season in the USA. I think the general set-up will be similar to last year's challenge. Participants can join at any time, and 'finishing' will not be required. Everyone can work through the BINGO board at their own pace and in whatever order works for them. One change I plan to make is once monthly check-in posts instead of twice monthly and not on the same schedule as the No-buy Challenge that is still active in the subreddit.

Questions:

  1. What categories worked well and what categories were a struggle?
  2. What can the SewingChallenge mods do to help support BINGO participants?
  3. Anything else you want us to know?

I'm tagging the users who made it to the end of the challenge last year and a few who showed interest for this year but anyone is welcome to give input.
